Program Activities
Activity Overview
Any cultural activity offered by the school
is included in the cost of the program. Note:
Weekend excursions are not.
Some activities include: A walking tour of
Miraflores, Volunteer Opportunities, Language Exchanges, and
Dance Classes.
Dance Class
 This
class meets one time per week on a Tuesday and runs from 4-5pm.
This dance class offers Spanish students the chance to learn
Merengue, Festejo and of course Salsa.
A Walking Tour Of Miraflores
Typically offered on a Thursday. The tour
is designed to familiarize Spanish students with Miraflores.
Language Exchange
One of the best ways to learn Spanish is
to speak to the locals. This exchange allows our Spanish students
to meet up with locals. You will have a chance to speak some
Spanish and then you will also help them with their English.
A great way to learn the language PLUS meet some interesting
people.
Volunteer Opportunities
 The
Spanish language school works with two main organizations
(see below). It provides our Spanish students the chance to
work with women and children. Help with sports, arts &
crafts, English instruction, etc.
* Posadita del Buen Pastor. A hospice for
women and children with HIV.
* Hogar Niño Jesús de Praga. A home for children
whose families cannot support them.
