In addition to some excellent Spanish language classes in Cusco, Peru, Amauta offers a unique Spanish adventure program in the the Sacred Valley in a town called Urubamba. Here you can both learn Spanish while at the same time getting to discover a unique world that is the Sacred Valley of the Inca.

Studying Spanish in Urubamba is a great option. Amauta is able to maintain the quality of instruction by rotating teachers from Cusco to Urubamba on a regular basis. The Spanish teachers will live with the Spanish students in a residence. This option also allows for more interaction in Spanish. Spanish classes are held either in the mornings or afternoons. The timing depends on the other activities planned for the day. Urubamba is a great jumping off point for explorations in and around the Sacred Valley of the Inca.

Practical information on the Urubamba location

Urubamba is located about an hour from Cusco in the Sacred Valley. The town is small and quaint. All accommodations are shared (either double rooms or triple rooms). Spanish students will share a bathroom. The total program is just 1 week (6 nights). Amauta Spanish School will arrange transportation to and from Urubamba, leaving on Sunday and returning on Saturday. 2 meals per day are provided along with various cultural activities and excursions.
